Volleyball Recap: Santa Maria Comes Up Short

Santa Maria lost against Cabrillo on April 1st, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Saints lost 3-0 to the Conquistadores. The Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Santa Maria was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-18, 25-22.

Santa Maria's loss dropped their record down to 4-22. As for Cabrillo, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Santa Maria and Cabrillo will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Saints see the court they'll take on Mission College Prep at 5:30 p.m. on the 29th. As for Cabrillo, their break will end when they face Pioneer Valley at 6:00 p.m. on the 29th.
