Recap: NSU University Sharks vs. Palmer Trinity Falcons

After flying high against the Jupiter Christian Eagles on Tuesday, the NSU University Sharks came back down to earth. NSU University was outmatched by Palmer Trinity on the road and fell 52-8. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points NSU University has scored all season.

It was another big night for Sofia Laria, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds for Palmer Trinity. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Jade Leon, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and six steals.

NSU University's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Palmer Trinity, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. NSU University will challenge Chaminade-Madonna at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chaminade-Madonna comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Palmer Trinity won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Cardinal Gibbons at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th. Cardinal Gibbons is on a three-game streak of home wins, Palmer Trinity a six-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
