Football Game Preview: Easthampton/Hampshire Eagles vs. Lee/Lenox Memorial Wildcats

The Easthampton/Hampshire Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Lee/Lenox Memorial Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Easthampton/Hampshire 11.2, Lee/Lenox Memorial 5.4) so any points scored will be well earned.

Easthampton/Hampshire proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by 30) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Holyoke, sneaking past 24-22. The victory was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won four contests in a row.

Easthampton/Hampshire's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Patrick Larson led the charge by rushing for 47 yards and one score, while also picking up 56 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Jake Kostek, who gained 115 total yards.

Lee/Lenox Memorial hadn't beaten Hoosac Valley on the road since November 8, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Saturday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Hurricanes by a score of 26-14. The 26-point effort marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Easthampton/Hampshire's record is now 4-1. As for Lee/Lenox Memorial, their record now sits at 5-0.

Easthampton/Hampshire was dealt a bruising 41-0 defeat at the hands of Lee/Lenox Memorial in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
