Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Lopez Lobos.

Mikayla Segovia paced Jefferson's offense, picking up six kills. Segovia got some help from Nallely Aguirre and her five assists.

Jasmine Cortinas was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 12 kills and four digs. She has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 34 times she's played.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Jefferson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Ray on the 16th. As for Lopez, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Corpus Christi Moody on the 15th.
