Basketball Recap: Elizabethton Comes Up Short

Elizabethton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 56-47 to the Tennessee Vikings. The Fighting Cyclones were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 63-43.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tennessee to victory, but perhaps none more so than Addie Wilhoit, who went 6-for-15 on her way to 18 points and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Wilhoit a new career-high in blocks (two). Jasmine Jones was another key player, going 8-for-17 to rack up 17 points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

Elizabethton's defeat dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Tennessee, their record is now an identical 11-16.

Elizabethton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tennessee, they will take on David Crockett at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. David Crockett will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something Tennessee surely won't give up without a fight.
