Softball Recap: West Springfield Terriers vs. Hampshire Regional Raiders
West Springfield had lost three straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 2-4 to make it four. They lost 16-2 to the Hampshire Regional Raiders. If the Terriers were looking for revenge after losing 17-4 to the Raiders when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Hampshire Regional, the win keeps they at an undefeated 9-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games.
For Hampshire Regional's part, Rachael Hickox made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
