Softball Recap: Antioch Comes Up Short

Antioch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 21-1 to the Bishop O'Dowd Dragons. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 15-1 to the Dragons when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Antioch's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Bishop O'Dowd, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Antioch will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on St. Joseph Notre Dame at 4:00 p.m. on March 27th. As for Bishop O'Dowd, they will square off against Coronado at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday. Bishop O'Dowd is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11 runs per game this season.
