While Valwood put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Terrell Academy. The Valiants blew past the Eagles 44-0. The victory continues a trend for the Valiants in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won six in a row.

Valwood's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Asher Wells, who rushed for 78 yards on only seven carries, and also threw for 84 yards and two touchdowns. Brycen Wetherington helped out on the ground, rushing for 99 yards and a rushing touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Valwood was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 259 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 150 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Valwood's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Terrell Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valwood will host Deerfield-Windsor at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Knights' defense has only allowed 7.2 points per game this season, so the Valiants' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Terrell Academy, they will be playing at home against Baconton Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
