Basketball Recap: Bryan Find Success

Bryan won the last time they faced Van Wert and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bryan Golden Bears secured a 46-41 W over the Van Wert Cougars.

Despite the defeat, Van Wert saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jazzlyn Florence went 7 of 12 on her way to 20 points. The dominant performance gave Florence a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amaya Dowdy, who posted ten points along with seven boards and three steals.

Bryan now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Van Wert, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Bryan will head out to face off against Delta at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Delta will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Bryan surely won't give up without a fight. As for Van Wert, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Defiance at 7:30 p.m.
