Soccer Recap: Wheeler Comes Up Short

Wheeler came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Griffith Panthers, falling 3-0. Wheeler fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against Griffith since Thursday.

Wheeler's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Griffith, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Coming up, Wheeler will be playing in front of their home fans against Boone Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wheeler's defense better be ready for this one: Boone Grove have averaged an impressive 3.5 goals per game this season. As for Griffith, they have already played their next contest, a 0-0 draw against Highland on the 13th.
