Softball Recap: SA S Gets the Win

SA S came out on top against New Braunfels Thunder on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run second inning. The Saints took their matchup against the Homeschool 8-3.

Aj Dempsey made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Dempsey was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that she has brought in this season.

In other batting news, SA S got a massive performance out of Jo Kusenberger, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. J Hanson was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

SA S was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .625. The last time their batting average was this high was back in February of 2024.

SA S' victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for New Braunfels Thunder, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5-1.

SA S will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Homeschool: the pair will be back at it again later today.
