Albany and El Cerrito are an even 3-3-4 against one another since June of 2021, but likely not for long. The Cougars will challenge the Gauchos at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. El Cerrito took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Albany, who comes in off a win.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, El Cerrito was not quite Salesian College Preparatory's equal in the second half on Monday. They fell just short of the Pride by a score of 3-2. El Cerrito have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Albany pushed their record up to 9-0-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for El Cerrito, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7-3.

Everything went Albany's way against El Cerrito when the teams last played on January 13th, as Albany made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
