Softball Recap: Hume-Fogg Comes Up Short

If Hume-Fogg was riding high fresh off their 12-0 takedown of Pearl-Cohn last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blue Knights lost 18-1 to the Lawson Lightning on Wednesday. The Blue Knights haven't had much luck with the Lightning recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Hume-Fogg now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Lawson, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hume-Fogg will take on Maplewood at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lawson, they will square off against Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Royals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.27 runs per game on average), something the Lightning will no doubt try to take advantage of.
