Cherokee is 8-2 against Sheffield since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Cherokee is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Phil Campbell on Tuesday. They lost 8-2 to the Bobcats.

Cherokee saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gracie Waldrep, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Sheffield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 44th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Shoals Christian, falling 19-4.

Taniah McCroskey was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Cherokee's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-22. As for Sheffield, their loss dropped their record down to 0-24.

Everything went Cherokee's way against Sheffield when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Cherokee made off with an 18-0 win. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
