Volleyball Recap: Faith Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Faith Academy was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Bryant on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rams fell just short of the Mobile Christian Leopards by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Leopards: they've now lost six in a row.

Faith Academy started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 20-25, 25-15, 26-24, 15-4.

Despite the loss, Faith Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kyleigh Grosz had 18 digs and two aces.

Leading Mobile Christian to victory were Kensley Shanahan and Jordyn Lawson. Shanahan had 11 digs and five aces, while Lawson had ten digs and one assist. Those five aces gave Shanahan a new career-high.

Faith Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Mobile Christian, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Faith Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against St. Luke's Episcopal on the 28th. As for Mobile Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Spanish Fort on the 28th.
