Softball Recap: McKinley Red Dragons vs. East
McKinley came into Tuesday's matchup having lost ten straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against East on Tuesday as the McKinley Red Dragons made off with a 15-5 win. The victory was just what McKinley needed coming off of a 19-9 loss in their prior game.
The team relied heavily on Abigail Noland, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Barrell, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3.
McKinley made their fans wait, but they earned their first win of the season to make their record 1-5. As for East, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
McKinley will have a chance to go back-to-back against East: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
