Texico had lost five games straight , but after bumping their record up to 4-10  on Saturday that streak is in the rearview. They walked away with  a   13-9  win over the Jal Panthers. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season,  with their most recent  victory being a  18-5  win  last Tuesday.
  Ryker Russell was  incredible,  getting on base  in all five of his plate appearances with three  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-high in  RBI (two). Another player making a difference was  Mason Pipkin, who  earned two  runs and four  stolen bases.
As for Jal, their defeat was  their fourth straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 3-14. Those  home  losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 6.3 runs over those games.
 On Jal's side,  Andre Rodriguez led a balanced group of hitters,  going 3-for-5 with two  stolen bases, three  RBI,  and one  run. The team also got some help courtesy of  Fernando Sauceda, who  went 3-for-5 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  double.
Texico will have a chance to go back-to-back against Jal: the pair will be back at it again later today.
