Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Amboy's 13th in Last 14 Outings

Amboy won the last time they faced Morrison and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Amboy Clippers came out on top against the Morrison Mustangs by a score of 49-36. Given the Clippers' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while the Mustangs are ranked 604th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Amboy is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.9 points over those games. As for Morrison, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-25.

Looking ahead, Amboy will host Earlville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Morrison, they will head out to challenge Polo at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Polo will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Morrison surely won't give up without a fight.
