Basketball Recap: Mason Smith and Joe Winter Secure Win for River Ridge

River Ridge won the last time they faced Stockton and things went their way on Thursday too. The River Ridge Wildcats walked away with a 59-50 victory over the Stockton Blackhawks.

Leading River Ridge to victory were Joe Winter and Mason Smith. Winter went 9 for 15 to rack up 18 points and six rebounds, while Smith posted nine points along with six assists and six steals. Winter is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last five games he's played. Sam Rife was another key player, putting up seven points and three steals.

River Ridge's win bumped their record up to 11-14. As for Stockton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-17.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. River Ridge will take on Orangeville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Stockton, they will welcome Lena-Winslow at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
