Softball Recap: Quincy Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Quincy was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They came up short against the East Moline United Panthers, falling 17-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-3 back in April.

Quincy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avary Hlubek, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Quincy has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for East Moline United, their record is now 13-9.

Coming up, Quincy will venture away from home to take on Illini West at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for East Moline United, they will welcome Sherrard at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
