Recap: Louisa County vs. Western Albemarle

Louisa County won the last time they faced Western Albemarle, and things went their way on Friday, too. Louisa County had enough points to win and then some against Western Albemarle, taking their contest 42-24. The victory was business as usual for the Lions and keeps their flawless record intact.

The Lions started the matchup off right with 35 first-half points. Western Albemarle wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 10 to make it 35-10 heading into the break. Louisa County couldn't replicate their first half dominance, getting outscored after the break, but not by enough to lose the game.

The win bumped Louisa County's record up to 9-0. The loss dropped Western Albemarle's record to 4-5.

Louisa County will square off against Albemarle at 7 p.m. ET next week. Albemarle took a loss in their last contest and are no doubt out to reverse Louisa County's good fortune. The Warriors will take on Orange County at 7 p.m. ET at home. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close match.
