Basketball Game Preview: Grand Junction Central Warriors vs. Palisade Bulldogs

The Grand Junction Central Warriors are taking a road trip to take on the Palisade Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with six defeats in a row, Grand Junction Central turned things around against Battle Mountain on Tuesday. They walked away with a 66-58 win over the Huskies.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Palisade, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against Glenwood Springs by a score of 61-50 on Tuesday.

Palisade pushed their record up to 8-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.6 points per game. As for Grand Junction Central, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-14.

Grand Junction Central barely slipped by Palisade when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 38-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for Grand Junction Central since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
