Waukegan hasn't had much luck against Mundelein recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Bulldogs will take on the Mustangs at 4:45 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Waukegan headed into their last contest having not scored more than two runs for eight straight, but Lake Forest Academy let them put that streak behind them. The Bulldogs never let the Caxys get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Friday. The Bulldogs not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since May 11, 2024 (when they won 18-3).

Jose Mendoza Jr. was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Mendoza Jr. was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Leo Maione, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Yahir Guadarrama also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
