 It may have taken  eight innings to finish the job, but Chandler ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged the Basha Bears out  2-1. This was a revenge  game for Chandler, as the team was forced to settle for  a  1-0 defeat when these two played  last Monday.
  Jorge Roman tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only one  hit while striking out seven over 5.2 innings pitched.
 On the hitting side, Chandler's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Brayden Flores, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Sam Lorgan, who  went 1-for-3 with a  double and  an  RBI.
 On Basha's side,  David Richter was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. Richter has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in seven consecutive pitching appearances.
 Chandler's win bumped their record up to 12-10-2. As for Basha, their loss dropped their record down to 14-6-2.
 Chandler will head out on the road to  take on  Hamilton at 3:45  p.m.  on Thursday. The timing is sure in Hamilton's favor as the  squad sits on nine straight wins at home while Chandler has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road. Basha will take on Brophy College Prep at 3:45  p.m.  on Thursday. Both teams have allowed few  runs on average, (Basha: 3.4, Brophy College Prep: 3) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
