Basketball Recap: Wayne Takes a Loss

Wayne lost against Asher back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wayne Bulldogs took a 70-51 bruising from the Asher Indians. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 284th, while the Indians are ranked 89th).

Wayne dropped their record down to 7-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Asher, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-3.

Wayne is taking a road trip to face off against Healdton at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. Wayne is facing Healdton at the right time seeing as Healdton is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Asher, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Macomb at 8:00 p.m. on January 28th.
