Softball Recap: Incarnate Word Takes a Loss

If Incarnate Word was feeling good fresh off their 11-3 takedown of United on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Incarnate Word Shamrocks took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) on Friday.

Incarnate Word has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. Uvalde now has a winning record of 7-6-1.

Incarnate Word has already played their next contest (against Vela), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Uvalde, they will square off against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Uvalde surely won't give up without a fight.
