Basketball Recap: Rock Ridge Starts Season with Win Against Unity Reed + How To Watch

Rock Ridge gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They strolled past the Unity Reed Lions with points to spare, taking the game 57-38. The Phoenix have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

Unity Reed's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Russell Robinson, who posted 14 points along with five boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Xzavyir Martin, who put up seven points in addition to six rebounds and five blocks.

Rock Ridge has already played their next game, a 51-30 win against Justice on the 2nd. As for Unity Reed, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-61 loss against John Champe on the 3rd.
