Sandpoint hasn't had much luck against Lewiston recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Bulldogs will host the Bengals at 12:00 p.m. Sandpoint is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Things were looking good for Sandpoint after they put the first runs on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lakeland.

Brennan Shaw was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Lewiston and Moscow meet (two straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Bengals came up short against the Bears, falling 8-2.

Lewiston saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Henson, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Sandpoint's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Lewiston, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.
