Soccer Recap: Belton-Honea Path Comes Up Short

Belton-Honea Path was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Dixie Hornets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Belton-Honea Path of the 4-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Belton-Honea Path's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Dixie, the win keeps they at an undefeated 6-0.

Coming up, Belton-Honea Path will challenge Pendleton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Belton-Honea Path will be up against Pendleton's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.67 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Dixie, they are taking a road trip to challenge Abbeville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Dixie is facing Abbeville at the right time seeing as Abbeville is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
