While Thursday's victory was certainly a team effort, someone pulling more than their own weight was underclassman Derrick J.R. Cross. He made a major impact on Thursday, putting up 22 points and five rebounds with a three-point shooting accuracy of 80%. With that impressive performance, he now owns an excellent three-point shooting accuracy of 40.5% on the season. The last time his three-point shooting accuracy was this high was back in February of 2024.

Looking ahead, Bloomington North's homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Zionsville at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Cross hasn't had any trouble running up the score (he's averaged 16.9 per game this season), but he'll have his work cut out for him against a dominant the Eagles defense that's only given up 39.2 points per game.
