Basketball Recap: Mount Calvary Christian Starts Season with Defeat at Home + How To Watch

Mount Calvary Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the New Covenant Christian Flames on Tuesday, falling 82-57. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Loss or not, Mount Calvary Christian got some senior leadership from Josiah Masters and JJ Cuneo. Masters posted 24 points, while Cuneo had 14 points.

Ben Rhine was a one-man wrecking crew For New Covenant Christian. as he scored 29 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Talan VanderPloog, who earned 17 points and four steals.
