Softball Recap: Six Straight Home Wins for Bushland

Bushland won the last time they faced Tulia and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Falcons blew past the Hornets 17-1. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won ten matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Charley Spinks, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Appier, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple.

Spinks wasn't the only one making solid contact: Bushland kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in eight consecutive games.

Bushland's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-11. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Tulia, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.

Bushland didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-5 win against Childress on the 8th. As for Tulia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 11-1 loss against Canadian on the 8th.
