Kelly Burgess gave up the fewest hits he has since back in February of 2024 on Tuesday. He was unstoppable, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Burgess' effort led Enterprise over Lumberton and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Yellowjackets are a perfect 6-0 against the Panthers going back to April of 2022, a lead they'll look to extend.
