Volleyball Recap: Anthem Prep Snags 12th Victory in Last 13 Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rancho Solano Prep, Anthem Prep was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Desert Heights Prep Yote. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Anthem Prep had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-18, 25-21, 25-19.

Brighton Pillsbury paced Anthem Prep's offense, picking up 15 kills. Pillsbury got some help from Peyton Pfefferkorn and her 32 assists. Adelle Greene controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Anthem Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Desert Heights Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Anthem Prep will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Maryvale Prep at 6:00 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Desert Heights Prep, they will challenge Ray at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Yote are facing the Bearcats at the right time seeing as the Bearcats are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
