Waupun had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Monday. They put the hurt on the Mayville Cardinals with a sharp 13-5 victory. Considering the Warriors have won six matches by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Landon Richter made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Richter was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs.

In other batting news, Waupun let Logan Prall and Bryant Ferris run wild. Prall went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Ferris went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave Prall a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Landon Derksen, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Waupun pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Mayville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waupun will head out to take on Ripon at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mayville, they will venture away from home to square off against St. Mary's Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Ledgers' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Cardinals' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
