Basketball Recap: Outreach Christian Starts off Right with Win over Fort Scott Christian Heights

Outreach Christian had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They managed a 40-34 victory over the Fort Scott Christian Heights Crusaders. The Bulldogs have beaten the Crusaders the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Crusaders has come to flipping the script.

Outreach Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trae Gharst, who posted 15 points. Davon Gibbs was another key player, putting up eight points along with eight boards and four steals.

Outreach Christian and Fort Scott Christian Heights will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Bulldogs see the court they'll take on Northern Hills Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on December 2. As for Fort Scott Christian Heights, their break will end when they face Training Center Christian at 6:00 p.m. on December 18.
