Soccer Game Preview: Eagle Ridge Academy vs. St. Mary's Academy

The Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors will challenge the St. Mary's Academy Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Eagle Ridge Academy's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Eagle Ridge Academy managed to slip by Forge Christian the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Warriors came up short against the Fury on Tuesday, falling 6-0.

Meanwhile, St. Mary's Academy's game on Tuesday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. They never let The Academy get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. The victory continues a trend for St. Mary's Academy in their matchups with The Academy: they've now won three in a row.

Eagle Ridge Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8-1. As for St. Mary's Academy, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-7-1 and their overall record up to 4-8-1.

Eagle Ridge Academy suffered a grim 6-1 defeat to St. Mary's Academy in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Warriors were down 6-0.
