Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) lost to Monsignor Pace back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) Stallions walked away with a 56-47 win over the Monsignor Pace Spartans. Winning may never get old, but the Stallions sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Despite the loss, Monsignor Pace still got an impressive performance from Easton Gelin, who almost dropped a double-double on 26 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave Gelin a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kris Delva, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 12 points and six rebounds.

Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.6 points per game. As for Monsignor Pace, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) will be playing in front of their home fans against South Miami at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Monsignor Pace, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Northwestern at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwestern knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 matchups -- so hopefully Monsignor Pace likes a good challenge.
