Soccer Game Preview: Central vs. Washington Academy

Central came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Bangor Christian, falling 5-2.

Meanwhile, Washington Academy hadn't done well against George Stevens Academy recently (they were 1-7-1 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Raiders came out on top in a nail-biter against the Eagles, sneaking past 4-3.

Washington Academy's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 3-6. As for Central, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Central might still be hurting after the 9-1 defeat they got from Washington Academy when the teams last played back in October of 2016.
