Basketball Recap: North Marion Wins Going Away Against North Bend

In Friday's Canine Competition, North Marion came out on top. They enjoyed a cozy 78-62 win over the North Bend Bulldogs on Friday.

Despite the loss, North Bend saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Hunter Christensen almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Christensen also set a new season-high mark in blocks with three. Another player making a difference was Owen Bascom, who posted 13 points and eight rebounds.

North Marion's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for North Bend, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

North Marion didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-38 defeat against Crook County on the 21st. As for North Bend, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 49-46 loss against Junction City on the 21st.
