Soccer Recap: Ottawa Takes a Loss

Ottawa lost against Kaneland on September 10th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Knights who were credited with the victory. The Kaneland Knights got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the Ottawa Pirates' zero.

Ottawa's goal came courtesy of Jorge Lopez, who's now up to 11 this season.

Ottawa's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Kaneland, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Ottawa is set to challenge their familiar foe Morris at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Kaneland will take on rival Rochelle at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
