Volleyball Recap: Woodville Comes Up Short

Woodville lost against Little Cypress-Mauriceville two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eagles fell just short of the Bears by a score of 2-1. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Woodville's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Little Cypress-Mauriceville, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Woodville will take on Kountze in a tournament on Thursday. As for Little Cypress-Mauriceville, they will challenge Hamshire-Fannett at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Longhorns have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
