Basketball Recap: Las Vegas Comes Up Short

Las Vegas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 51-47 heartbreaker at the hands of the Arbor View Aggies. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Aggies from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Las Vegas saw an underclassman step up: freshman Sariyah Johnson dropped a double-double on 27 points and 29 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Johnson has scored all season.

Las Vegas' loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Arbor View, their victory bumped their record up to 5-11.

Las Vegas has already played their next contest (against Liberty), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Arbor View has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Spring Valley.
