Baseball Recap: West Port Takes a Loss

After flying high against Eastside last Tuesday, West Port came back down to earth. The West Port Wolf Pack lost 12-4 to the Santa Fe Raiders on Thursday. If the Wolf Pack were looking for revenge after losing 7-0 to them when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

West Port saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ahmari Dixon, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one RBI. Another was Manny Rivera, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

West Port's defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Santa Fe, their record now sits at 2-3.

When West Port and Santa Fe next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. West Port will try to stop Vanguard's four-game winning streak when they meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Santa Fe will take on Buchholz and their three-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
