Basketball Recap: New Egypt Comes Up Short

New Egypt lost against Point Pleasant Beach on January 7th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The New Egypt Warriors fell 69-58 to the Point Pleasant Beach Garnet Gulls.

New Egypt has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Point Pleasant Beach, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-5.

New Egypt will welcome Wall Township at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. New Egypt has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Point Pleasant Beach, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 58-35 win against Monmouth Regional on the 25th.
