Volleyball Recap: Laton Gets the Win + How To Watch

Laton's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Orange Cove Titans 3-2. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Laton was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (113-103), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 15-25, 28-26, 19-25, 16-14.

Jade Perez was nothing short of spectacular: she had 41 digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Sonia Hernandez, who had ten digs and two assists.

Laton's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Orange Cove, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Coming up, Laton will welcome Maricopa at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Orange Cove, they will head out to take on Fowler at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
