Baseball Recap: Show Low Takes a Loss

If Show Low was feeling good fresh off their 21-0 takedown of San Tan Foothills last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Show Low fell just short of the Snowflake Lobos by a score of 5-3 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Cougars have suffered since March 14, 2024.

Show Low saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Easton Hatch, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Show Low's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Snowflake, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.

Show Low will face off against Payson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Snowflake, they will square off against Blue Ridge at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Snowflake has won five straight at home dating back to last season, while Blue Ridge won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
