After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dunnellon, Union County was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Trenton Tigers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Fightin' Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Union County's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Trenton Klein, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Evan Roberts was another, scoring a run and stealing three bases.

Union County's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-6. As for Trenton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-3.

Union County has already played their next game, a 6-3 defeat against St. Joseph Academy on the 21st. As for Trenton, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-1 win against Chiefland on the 24th.
