Basketball Recap: Perquimans County Takes a Loss

Perquimans County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Lawrence Academy Warriors, falling 55-21. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-7 on Monday.

Perquimans County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Lawrence Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Perquimans County will venture away from home to take on Washington County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lawrence Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Pungo Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
