Baseball Game Preview: North Sevier Wolves vs. North Summit Braves

North Sevier is on a three-game streak of home losses, and North Summit a six-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The North Sevier Wolves will welcome the North Summit Braves at 3:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Friday, North Sevier didn't have quite enough to beat Grand County and fell 4-3.

Parker Jensen made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. He is becoming a predictor of North Sevier's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 2-8 when he doesn't). Koy Wasden was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI.

Meanwhile, North Summit came up short against Grand County last Friday, falling 17-4.

North Summit saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braxton Lefler, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Lefler hit this season. Another was Traxton Olsen, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

North Sevier's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for North Summit, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.

North Sevier came out on top in a nail-biter against North Summit in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. Do the Wolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Braves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
